About Me
Hi my name is Claudia. I am a wife, mother of four, survivor of a chronic illness and follower of Jesus Christ.
Hi my name is Claudia. I am a wife, mother of four, survivor of a chronic illness and follower of Jesus Christ.
I have spent much of my time, energy and money over the last 6 years, fighting for my life. I'm finally at the tail end of my battle with chronic Lyme disease and sincerely hope that none of you have to suffer with such a relentless and complicated disease.
After being falsely diagnosed as having nothing more than depression by medical doctors I devoted my time and energy to doing what I could to heal myself through a healthy diet and supplementation.
Unfortunately my health continued to decline but I remained determined to find answers and solutions. Overtime I was diagnosed as having Lyme disease and received help from a hand full of some of the best naturopathic doctors in a variety of clinics throughout the western U.S. - often times with my 4 kids in tow and hooked up to IV's for 6 hours a day.
Much like a gemstone hunter, chipping away at finding some high quality jewels, I've stumbled upon a variety of true gems that I have found to be the best resources, remedies and tools I feel should be in every home - especially in one's food storage for rocky times that may lay ahead of us.
I'm not the most articulate, perfectly organized or trendy blogger out there but hey, maybe that successful miner wasn't the best excavator either ... I find relief in thinking that perhaps it doesn't take the most seemingly flawless or talented person to share things of value.
I will never pretend to be something I'm not or pretend to know something I don't know. I'm not a doctor and I expect everyone to carefully research the resources I share and I anxiously wait to hear about your experiences with them.
One Blog. Three Goals.
Goal One:
One of my goals with this blog is to share the many things that I've learned about which foods are healthy and how to eat healthy on a budget. I share recipes (through blog and video format) such as: homemade tortillas, homemade yogurt, artisan spelt breads, healthy desserts such as ice creams and fudge and much more.
Goal Two:
My second goal with this blog is to share what I have found to be the most effective alternative remedies for every day type of maladies and sicknesses. This category also includes my teaching about what natural and alternative remedies I keep in my medicine cabinet and how I go about using them.
Goal Three:
My third goal is to share about my 7 year battle with Lyme disease; what I learned about it, from it and along side it - including touchy topics such as autism, ADD, etc and how it's related to Lyme disease.
I believe that in today's world, humans are struggling with the effects of degenerative conditions and a lack of vibrant stamina due to a conglomeration of issues such as:
- poor health choices
- nutrient deplete foods
- weakened digestive systems
- and a constant exposure to toxins along with the inability lack of knowledge of how to efficiently eliminate these toxins from our bodies.
Within this blog, I share with you the things I've learned about helping to repair our overall health and keeping our family's strong. You can read more about it here.
So, here I am, sharing with you the gems I've mined during 6 long years of suffering in the hopes that these treasures of mine will help you feel empowered, become more self sufficient and help you and your wonderful family have the strength and stamina to be the people the Lord needs you to be.

(As I've mentioned, I'm not a health professional. I share these things with you with the underlying mutual understanding that I'm simply sharing my personal opinions and experiences with you and that you are an intelligent human being, fully capable of making your own decisions concerning what you do with the information I share and that you will always seek the advice of your doctor before trying anything new for your health. :) )
